I'm fixing to do this eventually when i have a couple of warm days.  Most of the styles i've seen are single vent for the hood.  anyone do multiple vents?  How did you reinforce the hood so it doesn't flex?   What works best for cutting the hood clean?  I was planning on using a dremel and a fiber reinforced cut off wheel to start the cut and finish it off with a jigsaw (filler/mat to clean up afterwards).  I bought plenty of painters tape to mark the areas needed to be cut.  Also going to be sanding down my work area to make painting/glassing easier.

I'm hoping my work doesn't come out all gay/ruined so any pointers would be nice.  It seems like a pretty straightforward thing but i've never done anything like it.  Hopefully someone here has so i can get some ideas.  Google isn't being helpful.

Beer?  Read my build thread.   I'm out working on the car taking shots at the same time.  Beer isn't strong enough and i have to go inside and pee more often.  I just like to work straight through.  I work pretty slow and careful though.  This is my baby and i really dont want to fuck it up but if it happens, oh well.

This may not be what you want to do, but here is a link to look at. http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/168601

Yeah, i viewed that a while ago.  I wanted to see if anyone has done a better job.

I think i can.  I've got 8 square feet of fiberglass mat and if i run out i've got plenty of old shirts, fiberglass jelly, hair, resin, hardner and the like.....

I'm still curious if the fc hood skeleton is glued or spot welded on.  I haven't checked or asked.  I've been to preoccupied with work and doing research on other projects i've got in the works on zee auto.

I can't wait to get started on my own!  Dude did a good job thus far.   I've been spending alot of time lurking the fiberglassforum as well trying to figure out the best way to build up the "frame" around the vent.

Damn, all these views and no comments.  You guys alive out there or just hate custom glass work?  It's itchy but the final result can be awesome!
